Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Riley M. Moore presented a $1,000,000 check to complete essential engineering and design work that will pave the way to completely replacing the Market Street Bridge. Rep. Moore secured these funds through his work on the House Appropriations Committee in Fiscal Year 2026.

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Riley M. Moore presented a $2,000,000 check to the City of Wheeling for the federal funding to complete the Northern Parkway Project, today. The Northern Parkway Project is a critical infrastructure investment Rep. Moore secured through his work on the House Appropriations Committee in Fiscal Year 2026.

Moore announced that two of his Community Project Funding requests for West Virginia's Second Congressional District were approved by the House Appropriations Committee as part of the Fiscal Year 2027 Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act. The legislation passed during Committee markup and will now advance to the full House of Representatives for consideration.

Moore announced that five Community Project Funding requests for West Virginia's Second Congressional District were approved by the House Appropriations Committee as part of the Fiscal Year 2027 Transportation, Housing and Urban Development (THUD) Appropriations Act. The legislation now advances to the full House of Representatives for consideration.

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Riley M. Moore yesterday applauded President Donald J. Trump and the U.S. Department of Energy's decision to build a new coal-fired power plant in West Virginia’s Second Congressional District. DOE’s selection of the TerraSpark Energy Campus under its Coal-Based Power and Energy Infrastructure initiative will bring nearly 1,000 high-quality jobs to the district and marks a major step toward realizing President Trump’s vision for American energy dominance.

Moore today applauded House passage of H.R. 8646, the Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act for Fiscal Year 2027, which funds critical agriculture, rural development, food safety, nutrition, and public health priorities while reducing federal spending by $380 million below the Fiscal Year 2026 enacted level. The legislation was approved by the Appropriations Committee yesterday and will now move to the full House of Representatives for consideration.

Washington, D.C. – On March 17, 2026, the Taylor County Public Service District reached a major milestone as water flowed through a newly constructed temporary water main to the PSD’s treatment plant for the first time since May 2022. This temporary water main is a much-needed work around after the raw water main suffered catastrophic breaks that left the pipeline transporting water to the treatment plant inoperable.
