West Virginia Delegation Urges President Trump to Approve Disaster Declaration Following Devastating Floods
Washington, D.C. – This morning, Congressman Riley M. Moore joined Senator Shelley Moore Capito, Senator Jim Justice, and Congresswoman Carol Miller in sending a letter to President Trump asking him to approve Governor Morrisey’s request for a major disaster declaration in West Virginia. Once approved, this declaration will unlock federal resources for those across the Mountain State as they begin recovery efforts following the weekend’s devastating floods.
“We applaud the tireless dedication of our State and local first responders, as well as the invaluable contributions of our neighbors and volunteers. Nevertheless, the demand for aid remains substantial, and we urge you to do everything in your power to make sure that our communities have the federal support they need to rebuild and recover,” the delegation wrote.
